Finder (Mac), Windows Explorer (Windows), Any Disk or Folder Window
Step 1. Select where to create new folder - for example, open My Documents.
Step 2. Open File menu, then click New.
Step 3. Click Folder and a new unnamed folder icon will appear.
Step 4. Type in new folder name - for example, "Intermediate French Topics"
To change the name of a folder
Select folder, click the text box and type a new name.
For Mac users - select folder, press Enter to select the text box.
For Windows - right-click on folder and select Rename.
From Windows Desktop - right-click on desktop, select New, then choose Folder.
From Inside a Software Program
Steps 1. Choose Save from File menu and box will appear.
Steps 2. Browse folders then click on location of new folder.
Steps 3. Click on icon to right reading "Create New Folder." (In Windows, place mouse arrow over icon to reveal name.)
Steps 4. Name new folder, click OK, then click Save.
